BBWS has been working in the field of Child Development, Welfare of the Persons with disability, Women Development, Youth Welfare, Education, Health Care Development, Substance Abuse Prevention, Prevention of drug related, TB related and sexually transmittable HIV/AIDS, Environment Issues, Rural and Community Development. 

The Society, established in 1963, has over the year focused its activities in rural areas and urban slums with community participation as the mainstay of programme implementation
