The unit with indoor & OT is run in Jhargram and caters to the poor tribal and other backward caste people free of charges. Annually more than 9000 people are benefited.

The centers are run in rural areas of Jhargram and Tarakeswar with counseling services. Annually more than 3000 patients in Tarakeswar and more than 9000 patients are recipient of the services.

The Society's Jhargram Annually the centers train 40 to 50 Disable person youth in the trades of cycle repairing and sheet metal work to enable them gainful employment.

 

Workshop for manufacture of mobility devices viz. tri-wheeler cycles, wheelchairs, ground mobility device, crutches, orthosis & prosthesis are manufactured in Jhargram & Tarakeswar. Annually more than 400 different categories of mobility aids are produced through these units.

The Society also implements the Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment funded ADIP Scheme in West Bengal state. Through this scheme aids and appliances are provided free of cost to poor handicapped persons through pre-distribution assessment and post-distribution follow-up of cases done by the Society Rehabilitation Experts.

The Society conducts regular immunization programme in the rural tribal areas of Jhargram and also PPIP in Jhargram, Tarakeswar, Baranagore. Community sensitization and capacity building of field workers on prevention, early identification and rehabilitation of disabled people are a regular feature. Annually more than 11 thousand children are covered at Jhargram and Baranagore.

The Society implements ADIP scheme through pre-distribution assessment and post-distribution follow-up. Annually more than 700 poor candidates are benefited.

In the tribal inhabited blocks of Jhargram the Society conducts periodic out-reach assessment-cum-clinic services and conducts programmes for capacity building of ICDS & Panchayet functionaries on various issues concerning disability prevention and care of persons with disability.
